Parking Brake Shoe: Service and Repair

Special Tool(s) 

Removal 

1. Remove the wheel hub assembly. 

2. Remove the brake shoe retracting spring.

3. Remove the brake shoe hold-down springs.

4. Remove the parking brake shoes.

Pull the primary shoe forward and out.

Pull the secondary shoe rearward and remove the parking brake shoes and set on bench.
