Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair
Standard A/C Condenser to Evaporator Line

REMOVAL

1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Remove the engine Air Cleaner (ACL) and the air cleaner outlet tube.

4. Move the compressor discharge line isolator.

Remove the screw.

Move the compressor discharge line isolator.

NOTE:  On vehicles equipped with a 4.2L engine, carry out this step; all others proceed to Step 5.

5. Disconnect the condenser core refrigerant lines.

Disconnect the compressor discharge line.

Disconnect the condenser to evaporator tube.

CAUTION:  Use a wrench on each side of the fitting to prevent damage to the A/C fitting.
