6. CAUTION:  Be sure not to raise the back of the transmission too high, if it makes contact with the underbody, damage to the TSS and OSS

sensors will occur.

Remove the rear transmission mount.

Raise the transmission up off the rear crossmember support.

Remove the bolts.

Remove the rear transmission mount.

7. Remove the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS).

Disconnect the VSS electrical connector.

Remove the bolt.

Remove the VSS.

8. NOTE:  This vehicle uses a special extension housing similar to 4x4.  As the fasteners are removed, note the size of each for correct location

during installation.

Remove the extension housing.

Remove the eight bolts.

Remove the stud.

Remove the extension housing.

9. Remove and discard the extension housing gasket.
