Steering Gear to Fluid Cooler Return Hose

Removal and Installation

NOTICE: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of foreign material or failure of the power
steering components may result.

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

2. Using a suitable suction device, remove the power steering fluid from the fluid reservoir.

3. Remove the RH fender splash shield.

4. Release the clamp and disconnect the return hose from the steering gear-to-fluid cooler return hose.

5. Release the clamp and disconnect the steering gear-to-fluid cooler return hose from the return line at the steering gear.

6. Remove the 2 return hose bracket-to-subframe bolts.

To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

8. Fill the power steering system.
