Heated Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair
Catalyst Monitor Sensor

EGO Sensor Wrench

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL

EGO Sensor Wrench

1. Disconnect the catalyst monitor sensor electrical connector.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.

3. Using the special tool, remove the catalyst monitor sensor.

NOTE:  If necessary, lubricate the catalyst monitor sensor with Penetrating and Lock Lubricant E8AZ-19A501-B or equivalent to aid in removal.

INSTALLATION

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:  Apply a light coat of High Temperature Nickel Anti-Seize Lubricant F6AZ-9L494-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification
ESE-M12A4-A to the threads of the catalyst monitor sensor to aid in installation.
