Escape 2WD L4-122 2.0L DOHC VIN B SFI (2001)
5. Install the transaxle drain plug.

After the fluid has been drained, clean the drain plug threads and apply a small amount of Pipe Sealant with Teflon tip D8AZ- 19554-A or
XW7Z-19554-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSK-M2G350-A2.
6. Remove the drain pan and lower the vehicle.
7. Add MERCON(R) V Automatic Transmission Fluid XT-5-QM or equivalent meeting MERCON(R) V specification.
8. Start the engine and move the transaxle range selector lever through all gear positions. Refill as necessary.
9. Allow the transmission fluid to reach operating temperature and fill as necessary.
