Temporary Spare The Escort 4 x 4 variants carry a temporary spare. When the temporary spare is in use the following points must be adhered to. - Drive with caution
- Do not exceed the maximum speed limit of 80 km/h (50 mph)
- Only use the spare on a temporary basis
- Replace the temporary spare with a normal wheel and tyre as soon as possible
- Do not drive the vehicle with more than one temporary spare at a time
Winter Tyres Always fit winter tyres to all four wheels. Do not exceed the maximum speed specified by the tyre manufacturer. When using winter tyres, the tyre pressures supplied by the tyre manufacturer must be adhered to. Snow Chains Snow chains with small links must be used. Snow chains must be fitted to the front (driven) wheels. Snow chains must be fitted to only 175/70 R13, 175/65 R14 or 185/60 R14 tyres. When snow chains are fitted do not exceed 50 km/h (30 mph). Snow chains must be removed immediately on snow free roads. |
