Cut all tie straps securing the latch switch wiring harness to the latch assembly (Figure 2).
14.
Remove the protective rubber cover from the top of the latch assembly. The rubber cover is secured in place with a heavy coating of silicone.
Some force will be necessary to remove the cover (Figure 3).
15.
Remove the door latch switch retaining screws, then the door latch switch (Figure 3).
Installation
1.
Install the new Door Latch Switch (refer to Parts Block). Tighten screws with reasonable amount of hand force.
