5. Install the cap.
6. Install the shock/strut assembly as explained in this section.
NOTE: The position indicator on the mounting block faces inboard during assembly.
Installation
Front Shock/Strut Assembly Installation
1. Position the shock/strut assembly into the wheel housing. Be sure the direction indicator on the mounting block faces inboard.
2. Secure the upper mounting block to the shock/strut tower with nuts. Tighten the nuts to 29-40 N.m (22-30 lb-ft).
3. Secure the shock/strut assembly to the steering knuckle with the bolts and nuts. Tighten to 93-127 N.m (69-93 lb-ft).
4. Position the flexible brake hose to the shock/strut assembly and secure it with the brake hose clip.
5. Install the front wheel. Tighten the lug nuts to 88-118 N.m (65-87 lb-ft).
6. Lower the vehicle.
