FORD 1985-86 ESCORT, EXP, TEMPO, MUSTANG, LTD, THUNDERBIRD, CROWN VICTORIA; 1986 TAURUS
LINCOLN-MERCURY 1985-86 LYNX, TOPAZ, CAPRI, MARQUIS, COUGAR, GRAND MARQUIS, CONTINENTAL, MARK VII, LINCOLN;

LIGHT TRUCK 1985-86 RANGER, BRONCO II; 1986 AEROSTAR
There are two different "spout" line connector locations.
Up to mid-year 1985, a single wire in-line barrel type "spout" connector was used on all EEC applications. It was located near the distributor.
For 1985 2.3L Ranger, the in-line "spout" connector was moved from its location near the distributor to a location that is between the engine and the
right hand fender apron.
For 1986 Ranger/Bronco II and Taurus/Sable vehicles, the in-line "spout" connector was replaced by a double wire "spout" connector with a shorting
bar.
In-line "spout" connectors will be replaced by shorting bars on other passenger car and truck applications during the 1986 model year.
The 1986 initial timing Setting Procedure has been revised to accommodate both types of "spout" connectors.
