Throttle Body: Service and Repair

4-116 Engine
1.
Remove two throttle body attaching bolts and two nuts.
2.
Disconnect throttle position sensor and air bypass valve electrical connectors from wiring harness.
3.
Disconnect air cleaner outlet tube, then the vacuum hose from throttle body.
4.
Disconnect throttle control cable and speed control cable, if equipped, from throttle body.
5.
Remove throttle body bracket, then carefully separate throttle body from upper intake manifold.
6.
Remove and discard gasket from manifold.
7.
Reverse procedure to install. Torque throttle body and bracket retaining bolts and nuts to 12 - 15 ft. lbs.
