Idle Speed: Adjustments
Fast Idle Speed

1.
Place transmission into Neutral or Park.
2.
Install a suitable tachometer onto engine as per manufacturer's instructions.
3.
Start and allow engine to reach normal operating temperature.
4.
Disconnect and plug EGR valve vacuum line.
5.
Place fast idle adjustment screw onto second step of fast idle cam.
6.
Operate engine until cooling fan comes ON.
7.
Check fast idle speed. If fast idle speed is not as specified, turn fast idle speed screw until specified speed is obtained.
