Valve Cover: Service and Repair
Removal
1. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the fitting on the valve cover.
2. Disconnect the wiring connector at the oil control solenoid.
3. On early production vehicles, remove the bolts and the appearance cover.
4. Position the accelerator cable and speed control cable out of the way.
5. Remove the ignition wire and brackets from the spark plugs.
