Camshaft: Testing and Inspection
Runout

NOTE: Camshaft journals must be within specification before checking runout.

1. Use Dial Indicator with Bracketry to measure the camshaft runout.

Rotate the camshaft and subtract the lowest dial indicator reading from the highest dial indicator reading.
