Driver/Vehicle Information Display: Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage; refer to the Visual Inspection Chart.

Damaged wiring harness

Loose or corroded connections

3. If the fault is not visually evident, perform the Message Center Self-Test. See: Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Message Center
