4. Remove the pinion nut.

Use a suitable companion flange holding tool.

5. Remove the rear axle companion flange using the 2-Jaw Puller for Differential Case Bearings.

6. Install Pinion Shaft Thread Protector and, with a soft-faced hammer, drive the pinion out of the front bearing cone and remove it through the rear

of the housing.

7. Use the Bearing Pulling Attachment to remove the pinion bearing cone and roller assembly.
