Expedition 4WD V8-4.6L SOHC VIN 6 (1997)
6. Remove the upper ball joint castellated nut.
(1) Remove the cotter pin.
(2) Remove the castellated nut.
7. Use Pitman Arm Puller to separate the front wheel knuckle from the front suspension upper arm.
8. Remove the six front wheel driveshaft and joint bolts.
9. Separate the front wheel driveshaft and joint from the hub and remove the front wheel driveshaft and joint from the vehicle.
CAUTION: Use caution to avoid damaging the hub seal when removing the front drive halfshaft.
