Compass Calibration
With Message Center
COMPASS CALIBRATION - WITH MESSAGE CENTER
1. NOTE: For optimum calibration, drive to an open, level location away from large metallic objects or structures. Switch off all non-essential
electrical accessories (heated rear window, heater A/C, map lamps, wiper, etc.) and make sure all the doors are closed.
Start the vehicle.
2. Press the RESET control button to start the compass calibration function.
3. Slowly drive the vehicle in a circle less than 5 km/h (3 mph) until the CIRCLE SLOWLY TO CALIBRATE display changes to CALIBRATION
COMPLETE. It takes up to 5 circles to complete the compass calibration.
Without Message Center
COMPASS CALIBRATION - WITHOUT MESSAGE CENTER
1. NOTE: For optimum calibration, drive to an open, level location away from large metallic objects or structures. Switch off all non-essential
electrical accessories (heated rear window, heater A/C, map lamps, wiper, etc.) and make sure all the doors are closed.
Start the vehicle.
2. Enter the compass calibration mode by pressing and holding the TRIP/RESET button for 8 seconds. The instrument cluster then shows CAL.
3. Slowly drive the vehicle in a circle at no more than 5 km/h (3 mph) until CAL turns off in the instrument cluster display (approximately 5 circles).
