SERVICE PROCEDURE

IS ONLY WRITTEN TO COVER THESE SPECIFIC CONDITIONS.
1.
Verify that one of the conditions exist; noise/vibration, no drive, unusual noise during cranking 6r a no crank condition.
2.
Verify that the starter operates properly. If not, service as necessary, then recheck if one of the other conditions still exist.
3.
If the one of the conditions still exist and the flexplate has been. isolated as the cause, the flexplate will have to be replaced with revised part
F1TZ-6375-BA (Figure 1).
4.
Following the procedures listed in the appropriate year Workshop Manual, Engine Section 03, In-Vehicle Service, Flywheel, replace the
Automatic Transmission Flexplate.
5.
After completing the replacement procedure, check the transmission fluid level and adjust if necessary to the proper level.
6.
Verify service.
