Removal
1. CAUTION: Do not allow the brake caliper to hang by the flexible brake hose.
NOTE: When removing the rear brake disc in this procedure it is not necessary to disconnect the hydraulic lines.
Remove the rear disc brake caliper.
2. Remove the rear brake disc.
3. CAUTION: Use a hub-mount brake lathe if necessary to machine the rear brake disc.
NOTE: Resurface the rear brake disc if a test drive has identified vibration transmitted through the steering wheel, seat, or brake pedal while
braking. Heavily scored brake discs (caused by worn brake pads), require resurfacing also.
Measure the rear brake disc, and resurface as necessary. Install a new rear brake disc if beyond specification.

1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

Remove the rear wheel disc.
2. Remove the rear wheel disc brake shield bolts.
