Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
With Auxiliary Climate Control
REMOVAL
NOTE:

If a condenser core leak is suspected, the condenser core must be leak-tested before it is removed from the vehicle.

Installation of a new suction accumulator is not required when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of
system contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction accumulator.
1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Remove the air cleaner housing.
3. Remove the upper radiator sight shield.
4. Remove the nut and disconnect the compressor manifold and tube assembly from the condenser core.

Discard the O-ring seal.
5. Disconnect the front auxiliary outlet line spring lock coupling from the underbody auxiliary outlet line.

Discard the O-ring seals.
6. Remove the bolt.
7. Remove the radiator grille.
8. Remove the three pin type retainers.
