Explorer 4WD V8-302 5.0L VIN P SFI (2000)
6. Remove the two retaining nuts and position the engine control sensor wiring aside.
7. Remove the bolts and the water pump pulley.
8. Remove the bolts and remove the water pump from the engine front cover.
9. Loosen the water pump inlet hose clamp and remove the water pump.
Installation
1. Use Metal Surface Cleaner F4AZ-19A536-RA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSE-MSB392-A and a suitable plastic or wooden scraper
to clean the gasket surfaces of the engine from cover and water pump.
