Explorer Sport Trac 2WD V6-4.0L VIN E (2002)
SHOULD BE REPLACED UNLESS A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN FINDS THE ASSEMBLIES SHOW NO DAMAGE AND OPERATE
PROPERLY. BELT ASSEMBLIES NOT IN USE DURING A COLLISION SHOULD ALSO BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF EITHER
DAMAGE OR IMPROPER OPERATION IS NOTED.
NOTE: Passenger side shown, driver side similar.
1. Remove the B-pillar trim panel.
2. Remove the front safety belt retractor.

Remove the bolt.

Using the special tool, remove the bolt.

Remove the front safety belt retractor.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the front safety belt retractor.

Position the front safety belt retractor to the B-pillar.

Using the special tool, install the front safety belt retractor bolt.
3
Install the bolt, being careful not to overtighten.
NOTE: Make sure to tighten nuts and bolts to specification.
2. Install the B-pillar trim panel.
3. Check the active restraint system for correct operation.
