F 150 2WD Pickup V8-4.6L VIN W (2006)
1. Disconnect the fuel hose spring lock coupling. Release the fuel system pressure.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
4. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system module tube upper fitting.

To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
5. Loosen the EGR system module tube lower fitting and rotate to position aside.

To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
6. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
7. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
8. Disconnect the upper vapor tube and position aside.
9. Disconnect the EGR system module vacuum and electrical connector.
10. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube quick connect coupling at the rear of the intake manifold.
11. Disconnect the PCV vent tube quick connect coupling at the RH valve cover.
12. Disconnect the electronic throttle control electrical connector.
13. Disconnect the throttle body (TB) spacer vacuum hose.
14. Release the heated TB coolant hose clamp and remove and plug the coolant hose.
15. Release the heated TB coolant hose clamp and remove and plug the coolant hose.
16. Remove the 4 TB spacer bolts and the TB assembly and discard the gasket.

To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
17. Disconnect the injection pressure (IPR) sensor electrical connector.
18. Disconnect the 8 fuel injector electrical connectors.
19. Disconnect the IPR sensor vacuum connector.
20. Remove the 4 fuel rail bolts.

To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
21. NOTE:

Install new O-ring seals on the fuel injectors.

Lubricate the new fuel injector O-ring seals with clean engine oil prior to installing the fuel rail.
Remove the fuel rail.
22. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
