Removal and Installation
CAUTION: Suspension fasteners are critical parts because they affect performance of vital parts and systems and their failure can result in major
service expense. A new part with the same part number must be installed if installation becomes necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser
quality or substitute design. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to make sure of correct retention of these parts.
CAUTION: Use the holding feature to prevent the studs from turning while removing or installing the stabilizer bar link nuts.
CAUTION: Do not strike the stabilizer bar link ball stud to separate stabilizer bar link from the stabilizer bar or damage to the ball stud can occur.
Lightly tap the stabilizer bar to loosen the ball stud.
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Remove and discard the stabilizer bar link upper nuts.

To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove and discard the stabilizer bar link lower nuts.

To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.).
4. Remove the stabilizer bar links.
5. Remove the stabilizer bar bracket nuts, brackets and the stabilizer bar.

Discard the nuts.

To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
