F 150 2WD Pickup V8-5.4L SOHC VIN 5 (2004)
1. Rotate the crankshaft until the camshaft lobe for the roller follower being removed is at base circle.
2. CAUTION: Do not allow the valve keepers to fall off the valve or the valve can drop into the cylinder.
NOTE: It may be necessary to push the valve down while compressing the valve spring.
NOTE: Mark each camshaft roller follower to make sure it is returned to its original position.
Using the special tool, remove the camshaft roller followers.
3. Remove the special tool.
4. Repeat the previous steps for each roller follower being serviced.
