Remove harness locator from the inside door panel (Figure 2).
6.
Repair or replace chafed and damaged wires as necessary.
7.
Drill a 6.35 mm (0.25") hole 15 mm left and 7 mm down from the center of the old locator hole (Figure 2).
8.
Install harness locator in the new hole and verify clearance of harness to door handle latch mechanism.
9.
Install watershield and door latch rod to inside door handle mechanism.
10.
Install door trim panel. Refer to the 1997 F-150 Workshop Manual, Page 501-05-12.
