Removal and Installation
WARNING: Do not use any fluid other than clean brake fluid meeting manufacturer's specification. Additionally, do not use brake fluid that
has been previously drained. Following these instructions will help prevent system contamination, brake component damage and the risk of
serious personal injury.

Sheet (MSDS) if available. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
NOTICE: Do not spill brake fluid on painted or plastic surfaces or damage to the surface may occur. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or
plastic surface, immediately wash the surface with water.
NOTICE: Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) module can be damaged if exposed to these
charges.
NOTICE: Do not allow brake fluid or other contaminates to drip onto the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) module or into the electrical
connector. Contamination may cause a permanent failure to occur.
NOTE: The Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) bracket does not have to be removed in order to complete this procedure.
1. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.
2. NOTE: The brake tubes must be installed in the same location as removed.
Remove the 4 brake tube-to-HCU fittings.
