F 150 4WD V8-4.6L VIN 8 (2010)
4. Disconnect the 2 heater core quick disconnect fittings at the heater core.
5. Remove the Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) manifold and tube bracket bolt.

To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
6. Remove the TXV fitting nut and disconnect the fitting.

Discard the gasket seals.

To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
7. Remove the 3 heater core and evaporator core housing nuts.

To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
8. Detach the 3 harness electrical connectors from the heater core and evaporator core housing bracket.
9. Detach the 2 antenna cable retainers from the heater core and evaporator core housing (if equipped).
10. Remove the air inlet duct bracket nut.

To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
11. Completely loosen the plenum chamber nut.

To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
12. Detach the floor console duct from the heater core and evaporator core housing (if equipped).
13. NOTE: For vehicles equipped with a rear footwell duct, the heater core and evaporator core housing must be carefully detached from the dash
panel and then tilted toward the rear of the vehicle to detach it from the rear footwell duct connection.
Remove the heater core and evaporator core housing.
14. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Install new O-ring seals.

Add the correct amount of clean PAG oil to the refrigerant system. For additional information, refer to the Refrigerant Oil Adding procedure.
15. Fill the engine cooling system.
