Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor - 4.6L (2V), 4.6L (3V), 5.4L (3V)
Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Vehicle Jacking and Lifting.
2. Rotate the accessory drive belt clockwise and detach the accessory drive belt from the A/C compressor pulley.
3. Loosen the A/C compressor bolts enough to slide the A/C compressor down approximately 25 mm (1 in), to allow access to the Crankshaft
Position (CKP) sensor.
