This TSB is being republished in its entirety to include two (2) Figures.
ISSUE:
Leaking of transmission fluid may occur at the transmission extension housing on some vehicles. This may be due to loads on the transmission extension
housing affecting the joint clamping load. This leak location is often misdiagnosed as a pan gasket leak.
ACTION:
Replace the transmission extension housing gasket with a revised Transmission Extension Housing Gasket (F6AZ-7086-A) and slot the holes in the rear
