8. Install the clutch gear.
(1) Install the tanged washer.
(2) Lubricate and install the steel thrust washer.

Use Premium Long Life Grease XG-1-C or -K or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESA-MlC75-B to coat the steel thrust washer and
position it on the clutch gear.
(3) Install the clutch gear.
9. Push in on the axle shaft and install a new snap ring.
10. Install the front axle vent tube.
