Front Driveshaft - Replacement

REMOVAL 

1. With the vehicle in neutral, raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING:  THE ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM MUST BE SHUT OFF PRIOR TO HOISTING,
JACKING OR TOWING AN AIR SUSPENSION VEHICLE. THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY TURNING OFF THE AIR
SUSPENSION SWITCH LOCATED IN THE RH KICK PANEL AREA. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN UNEXPECTED
INFLATION OR DEFLATION OF THE AIR SPRINGS WHICH MAY RESULT IN SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE DURING THESE
OPERATIONS. 

2. Remove the front driveshaft shield

(1) Remove the three front driveshaft shield nuts.
(2) Remove the front driveshaft shield

3. Index the front driveshaft

-

Repeat it on the transfer case companion flange to front driveshaft flange yoke.

4. Separate the front driveshaft from the transfer case.

(1) Remove the four driveshaft flange yoke to transfer case bolts.
(2) Carefully remove the front driveshaft.
