Never use a halfshaft as a lifting point.

Never use the differential housing as a lifting point.
^
Damage to suspension, exhaust and steering linkage components may occur if care is not exercised when positioning the hoist adapters prior to
lifting the vehicle.

Do not carry out the Engine Load Test for more than five seconds or damage to the transmission or transaxle can result.
^
Limit engine running time to one minute or less with belts removed or serious engine damage will result.
^
Never probe moving parts.
^
Do not hold the steering wheel against the stops for more than three to five seconds at a time. Damage to the power steering pump will occur.
^
Do not install brake discs that are less than the minimum thickness specified. Do not machine a brake disc below the minimum thickness
specification.
^
Do not use a bench lathe to machine brake discs.
^
Do not twist or strain the powertrain/drivetrain mounts.
^
Make sure the system is warmed up to normal operating temperature, as thermal expansion can be the cause of a strain problem.
^
Prior to removal of the GEM, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to a diagnostic tool. This information needs to be
downloaded into the new module once installed.
^
Once the new GEM is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the diagnostic tool into the new module.
