Door Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair
DOOR LOCK CYLINDER
REMOVAL
1. Remove the exterior front door handle.
2. NOTE:

When a new lock cylinder is installed, the tailgate lock cylinder and ignition lock cylinder should be installed as a set. This will eliminate
carrying an extra key which will fit only one lock. If a new key is to used, the new key code will be attached to a stamped metal tag.

Individual lock cylinders are repaired by discarding the inoperative lock cylinder and building a new lock cylinder using appropriate lock
repair package. The lock repair package includes a detailed instruction sheet to build a new lock cylinder to the current key code of the vehicle.
Remove the parts in the order indicated in the illustration and table.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
