Pressure Plate: Service and Repair

Disc and Pressure Plate 

Special Tools

Special Tool(s) 

Removal 

1. Remove the transmission. 

2. If the parts are to be reused, mark the clutch pressure plate and the flywheel.

3. Remove the clutch pressure and clothe disc.

Remove the bolts.

Remove the clutch pressure plate and the clutch disc.

Installation 

1. NOTE:  The self-adjusting clutch pressure plate should always be adjusted before installation.

Compress the clutch diaphragm fingers.

Place (A) the flywheel and (B) the pressure plate in a press.
