Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Description and Operation
Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor
The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is integral to the compuvalve. It is a pressure transducer that converts pressure to voltage through a
piezo-resistive element. It is attached to the intake manifold via a vacuum line with a damper tube that is routed to an external hose barb on the
compuvalve. MAP is used to monitor engine operating state.
