Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair
1.
Remove torsional damper, then pry seal out of cover.
2.
To install new seal on engines without three weld-nuts on front cover, position seal into seal installation tool T83T-6700-B or equivalent and
install over end of crankshaft. Install tool T83T-6316-B or equivalent over installation tool and tighten nut against tool and washer to seat seal.
3.
To install new seal on engines with three weld-nuts on front cover, position seal in installation tool T83T-6700-A or equivalent and install over
end of crankshaft. Attach bridge to weld-nuts and draw seal into front cover by turning center screw clockwise. Prior to installation, lubricate oil
seal with DOAZ-19584-A, or equivalent.
