2. Loosen the air cleaner outlet pipe-to-air cleaner cover clamp, release the air cleaner cover latches and remove the air cleaner cover. For additional

information, refer to Intake Air System Components - Exploded View in Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.

3. Remove the battery.

All vehicles

4. Disconnect the ABS module electrical connector.

5. Disconnect the brake tubes from the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU).

To install:
-

tighten the smaller fittings (M10) to 17 Nm (150 lb-in).

-

tighten the larger fittings (M12) to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

6. Remove the 2 HCU bracket-to-body bolts, the HCU bracket-to-body nut and the HCU assembly.

-

To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

7. If necessary, remove the 4 ABS module screws and the ABS module.

-

To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).

8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

9. Bleed the brake system.
