Engine Cooling
Radiator - Gasoline Engines
Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding See: Service and
Repair/Procedures/Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding.
3. Remove the cooling fan. For additional information, refer to Cooling Fan - Gasoline Engines See: Radiator Cooling Fan/Fan Blade/Service and
Repair.
4. Remove the cooling fan shroud. For additional information, refer to Cooling Fan Shroud - Gasoline Engines See: Fan Shroud/Service and Repair.
5. Remove the 2 bolts and position the power steering fluid cooler aside.

To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
6. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the A/C condenser from the radiator.

To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
7. NOTICE: Failure to plug the openings for the transmission cooler hoses may result in siphoning of the transmission fluid. This may result
in damage to the transmission, if the transmission fluid is not checked and topped-off after the repair is complete.
NOTE: Install plugs in the transmission cooler hoses.
Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the 2 hoses and the transmission auxiliary fluid cooler from the radiator.

To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
8. Disconnect the 2 radiator air deflector retainers.
9. Remove the clip and disconnect the lower radiator hose quick connect coupling.
10. If equipped, disconnect the hood switch electrical connector and pushpin retainer.
11. Remove the 4 radiator-to-radiator support bolts, the 2 radiator-to-radiator support clamps and the radiator.

To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
12. If servicing the radiator, remove the radiator support insulators.
13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
