Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Rear
Anchor Plate
Removal
1. Remove the brake pads.
2. Remove the anchor plate bolts and remove the rear disc brake caliper anchor plate.
Installation
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

Tighten to specification.
Disassembly and Assembly
Disassembly
1. Remove the rear disc brake caliper.
2. Drain remaining brake fluid from the rear disc brake caliper.
3. Secure the rear disc brake caliper.
4. Remove the caliper pistons.

Place a block of wood between the caliper bridge and the caliper pistons.

Apply low air pressure to the fluid port in the rear disc brake caliper.

Force out the caliper pistons to the block of wood.

Remove the block of wood and the caliper pistons.
