Removal and Installation
CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of foreign material or failure of the power
steering components may result.
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Using a suitable suction device, remove the power steering fluid from the reservoir.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. For additional information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.
4. NOTE: The jumper line can be serviced separately. It is not necessary to remove the jumper line from the hydraulic booster when servicing the
pressure line.
Disconnect the power steering pressure line-to-jumper line fitting.

To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
5. Remove the pressure line bracket/pump bolt.

To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
6. Unclip the power steering pump pressure line from the 3 pressure line retainers.
7. Disconnect the pressure line-to-pump fitting and remove the power steering pump pressure line.

To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill the power steering system.
