FRONT DRIVE AXLE
Runout Check
NOTE: Perform this procedure if the ring gear back face runout check exceeds the specification.
1. CAUTION: Prior to removal, note the stamped mating letters positioning on the bearing caps and the axle housing for proper
reassembly.
Remove the bearing caps.
2. CAUTION: Do not spread the housing more than specified.
Spread the axle housing, using the Differential Carrier Spreader and the Dial Indicator/Magnetic Base.
