Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Service and Repair
Brake On/Off (BOO) Switch

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect main wiring connector from stoplight switch.

NOTE:  Locking tab must be lifted before connector can be removed.

2. Remove the hairpin retainer. Slide stoplight switch, power brake booster, white nylon washer and bushing away from brake pedal.

NOTE:  Since the switch side plate nearest the brake pedal is slotted, it is not necessary to remove the power brake booster and black bushing
from the brake pedal pin.

3. Remove washer and then the stoplight switch by sliding stoplight switch up or down.

INSTALLATION 

1. Follow the removal procedure in the reverse order.
