EGR Valve: Service and Repair
1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
2. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve sensor wire harness at EGR valve sensor (if equipped).
3. Disconnect the EGR tube from EGR valve and vacuum hose.
4. Remove retainer bolts and EGR valve from upper intake manifold.
5. Remove EGR valve gasket. Clean residue from upper intake manifold gasket surface.
6. To install, follow removal procedure in reverse order. Tighten EGR valve tube nut to 34-47 Nm (25-35 lb ft).
