Intake Manifold: Service and Repair
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect battery ground cables.
2. Remove the turbocharger
3. Place a suitable cover over intake manifold opening.
5. Remove injection pump.
6. Disconnect fuel return lines from rear injection nozzles and remove return lines to fuel tank.
7. Disconnect engine harness ground wire from rear left of cylinder head, then remove engine wiring harness from engine.
8. Remove glow plug harness and controller.
9. Remove intake manifold attaching bolts and the intake manifold, Fig. 4.

10. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten attaching bolts to 24 ft lb in sequence shown in Fig. 5.
