Parking Brake Control: Service and Repair
Cable Actuated Rear Wheel Parking Brake

Removal 

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the parking brake switch.

4. Relieve the tension on the parking brake system.

Pull the front parking brake cable and conduit.

Insert a suitable retainer in the parking brake control.

5. Disconnect the parking brake release handle cable from the parking brake control.
