Oil Temperature Sensor For ECM: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

CAUTION:  Make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position prior to working on the electronic engine controls.

2. Remove the plug and drain the oil in the high-pressure oil pump reservoir.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Avoid spilling.

Use a suction gun.

Insert the tube into the port on the top right (viewed from the front of the engine) of the reservoir, and remove the oil.

3. Disconnect the wiring at the Engine Oil Temperature sensor and remove the sensor.

INSTALLATION

1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Fill the high pressure oil pump reservoir.
