F 350 4WD Super Duty V8-5.4L SOHC VIN L (1999)
5. NOTE: Be sure to tighten the bolts in three stages.
Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown

Stage 1: Tighten to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs.).

Stage 2: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
^
Stage 3: Tighten an additional 60 degrees.
6. Lower the transmission.
7. Install the transmission mount nuts.
8. Install the driveshaft.
9. Remove the High Lift Transmission Jack and the E40D Transmission Jack Adapter from the transmission.
10. Reinstall the transmission pan-to-case bolts that were removed to install the E40D Transmission Jack Adapter.
11. If the vehicle is equipped with turbine shaft speed and turbine/output shaft sensors, remove the plugs and install the sensors in the transmission.
