3. Using the special tool, remove and discard the crankshaft seal.
4. NOTE: Production seals will not have a wear sleeve. If a service part has been installed, it will have a wear sleeve.
If equipped, remove and discard the crankshaft seal wear sleeve.
Installation
1. Thoroughly clean the crankshaft front seal mounting surface.
2. Apply Threadlock(R) to the outer circumference of the leading edge of the crankshaft.
3. NOTE: New seal and wear sleeve must not be separated.
Using the special tool, install a new oil seal and wear sleeve assembly.
